GIFT: something given, the giving, the body of love, which shines in the hands of the giver without exchange, from the abundance of his or her soul. The magnanimity of the soul which gives substance and definite form to the abstract and indefinable concept of love, and thus… given to others, it joins us with the rest of mankind and communicates our hopes and aspirations for the best.
And it is not the gift itself which is of value, but rather that abundance which endows it with sprit. The gift, the grace, the joy. The hand of good wishes on our shoulder, like a talisman, the sign of the other’s presence. «I am close to you». Generous participation in the world, in life.
