The tree’s spirit, rooted deep in the earth,

climbs high to breathe.

So too the human spirit,

aims high and dreams.

Hanging on branches,

votive rags – offerings flap colourfully,

wishes and hopes.

May we merit spring’s blossoming

and the sweetness of fruits

in their time

that we may endure truth in life

feel the love of others

and offer it,

a gift,

just like nature.
