In our country, for centuries, the sea connects hundreds of islands and endless coasts with the rest of the world. Two thousand years after the birth of Christ and countless years before it, while looking to our future goals, we navigate over more and more uncharted seas. In all places and under all kinds of conditions we exchange compliments, ideas, merchandise, civilizations, wars, and our thought is always to travel. From the time of Ulysses to the present, even if we don’t confess it, we secretly desire, that : ” the road be long, full of adventures, full of knowledge…”

And during festive days, such as these, on New Years’ Eve, as we prepare for new experiences, where the tradition was still alive, children held little boats in their arms and carried them around. They entered houses with these little boats, decked with flags, adorned with lights and colors, and they hummed Christmas songs and wished for a pacific and happy New Year.
